The text is a revision of the unique first edition - the most successful first edition environmental science text of the 1990s! The third edition has been revised; however, the unique approach of the authors remains the same.  Environmental Science provides a contemporary, interdisciplinary introduction to the important concepts of environmental science, integrating natural sciences (physical and biological) with environmental ethics, environmental economics, environmental law, and environmental impact. The authors place the study of the environment on a sound scientific basis. Environmental Science: Earth as a Living Planet, 3e teaches students how to think, not what to think.
