Financial Success Grounded in Lifelong Skills!

In addition to providing a foundation in the basic principles of financial planning, Personal Finance: Skills for Life provides students with skills they can apply throughout their lives. Special features include:

Developing Personal Financial Skills for Life––This end-of-chapter feature is designed to help students develop their decision-making and financial skills and to build their own financial plan.  This section has two parts:

Learning About Yourself Students complete personal assessments and exercises to help them better understand their own personal money psychology and approach to financial decision-making.

Developing  Your Skills: Students complete assignments that require the application of chapter concepts to their own personal finances. Completion of all of the exercises in these sections will result in a personal financial plan by the end of the semester.

Go Figure!––These boxes help students develop valuable math skills with worked-out problems that correspond to key mathematical concepts. The examples give students a model for their homework problems.
