Visualizing Human Biology engages students to connect science to their own lives through stunning visuals—both in print and media-rich resources. Visualizing Human Biology presents the important concepts of the course as they relate to the world we live in.
New to the third edition of Visualizing Human Biology:
- New “Clinical Click” feature has been added to give students a chance to engage in more health and wellness related issues. A short case study is provided for students to consider, relating the puzzle to the material in the chapter.
- New Data Interpretation Questions provide many avenues for critical thinking in each chapter.
- Over half of the introductory vignettes have been updated, keeping topics from the new edition current and relevant for the student.
- Half of the photos have been upgraded, and the material covered in the “Health and Wellness,” “Ethics and Issues” and “I Wonder” boxes has been changed to reflect current topics in medicine, the media, and research.
- Seventeen key illustrations have been re-worked to include more data or to present a more visually appealing layout in order to be more useful for students and instructors.
