Anders Skrondal

Anders Skrondal is Head of the Statistics Group at the Division of Epidemiology, Norwegian Institute of Public Health, Oslo

Skrondal has a general interest in applied statistics, in particular biostatistics and social statistics. His main research interests include multilevel, longitudinal and latent variable modeling. He has with his coworkers developed a general modeling framework (GLLAMM) for multilevel latent variable modeling. This work is summarized in "Generalized Latent Variable Modeling: Multilevel, Longitudinal and Structural Equation Models" published by Chapman & Hall/CRC. Skrondal has published statistical papers in journals such as Psychometrika, Biometrics, Multivariate Behavioral Research, Statistical Modelling, American Journal of Epidemiology and Journal of Econometrics. He has also published numerous papers in medical and social science journals in collaboration with applied researchers. Skrondal was awarded the "1997 Psychometric Society Dissertation Prize" for his Dr.Philos dissertation in Statistics.
