Sabine Landau

Sabine Landau is a senior lecturer in biostatistics at the Institute of Psychiatry, London. She holds a ‘Diplom in Statistik’ from the University of Dortmund, Germany and a Ph.D. in crop modelling from the University of Nottingham, UK. Before joining the Institute of Psychiatry in 1997 she worked in the statistics department at the Institute of Arable Crops Research, Rothamsted and Nottingham University.

She is currently involved in the teaching of statistics to postgraduate students and in collaborative projects with members of staff at the Institute of Psychiatry. She has co-authored two books and around 30 research papers in the area of applied statistics/psychiatry. She is an active member of the Royal Statistical Society, a frequent statistical reviewer for journals in the medical/behavioural sciences and a member of several scientific and organising committees. Her research interests include statistical applications in the behavioural sciences, in particular spatial pattern analysis, cluster analysis, computing intensive methods and methods for dealing with missing values.
