About Wiley-VCH

A passion for publishing: Authors, editors, organizations, customers, colleagues and partners shape our mission.

Our company was founded in 1921 under the name of “Verlag Chemie”. Since 1996, we have been part of the publishing group of John Wiley & Sons. Our mission is reliably provide science, industry and trade with high-quality information through a diversity of media and channels. Our publishing program has always embraced numerous facets of the natural sciences: chemistry, physics, life sciences, medicine, engineering, and also business and trade. Traditionally, this knowledge was published in the form of journals, databases, reference works and books but online and offline services as well as the interdisciplinary platforms of Internet portals are rapidly gaining importance.

Scientific and technological progress has a great influence on the evolution of our publishing house. We have established ourselves as a reliable partner for education, scientific research and industrial development. It is the visible growth of content offered and delivered, the published page content, the access quotas for our Wiley InterScience online platform as well as the web portals and internet pages, which serve as proof. These figures have shown steady increase for years due to our policy of constantly expanding our products and services in close dialogue with our clients.
