Victor Technology announces licensing agreement with Wiley for “For Dummies®” branded Personal Financial Calculator
Victor Technology announces today an agreement with John Wiley & Sons, Inc., to manufacture and distribute the Personal Financial Calculator For Dummies. The new product is designed to help people take charge of their personal finances.
“Personal finances have long been a source of stress for many people. When thinking about major decisions such as retirement, college savings, reducing credit card debt, home loans, and car loans, many people struggle with the numbers. Working with Wiley, we’ve created an easy-to-use product with an instruction manual that incorporates the familiar Dummies Man icon, plain English explanations, and real-world examples. The result is a calculator that gives people a fun and easy way to manage personal finances with new-found knowledge and confidence,” noted John Ringlein, COO of Victor Technology.
Victor’s 10 digit calculator is perfect for the everyday person looking to make financial decisions. The keys are clearly labeled with words, not abbreviations, and are color coded for ease-of-use. Complicated and rarely used financial functions are left out – this calculator is made for Main Street, not Wall Street. The large display is easy to read, even for people with bi-focals.
The Personal Financial Calculator For Dummies was formally launched at the Financial Blogger Conference in Chicago on October 1, 2011. Samples of the product were distributed to over 100 bloggers and speakers. The calculator is available for purchase at OfficeMax.com and Amazon.com. Victor is also proud to announce OfficeMax will be the first retailer to offer the product in retail starting November 1, 2011.
