Wiley and InsideTrack Forge Partnership to Bring Personalized Career Coaching to Accounting Students

Hoboken, NJ

Hoboken, NEW JERSEY – July 1, 2015 John Wiley & Sons (NYSE: JWA and JWB) today announced its partnership with InsideTrack, a leading student success organization. The partnership will make career coaching possible at a low fee for all students who use the WileyPLUS platform for Intermediate Accounting by Kieso, Weygandt, Warfield, an essential resource for students and professionals throughout the world.

WileyPLUS is an online learning platform that integrates course content with learning tools, assessment, and practice activities on one adaptive platform. Wiley’s partnership with InsideTrack will offer students enrolled in the Intermediate Accounting WileyPLUS course free introductory career-related videos and, to paid subscribers, access to InsideTrack’s web and mobile-enabled platform. InsideTrack’s career coaches will work with students to assess their career-readiness, plan their job search and develop the skills that employers value most. Students can engage with coaches and content – including interactive training modules, on-demand videos and live streaming workshops – from anywhere, by telephone, instant messaging or through Career Coaching mobile apps for iPhone and Android.

WileyPLUS addresses the challenges of college readiness and student retention, improving learning outcomes, and preparing learners for future employment by connecting them to internships and offering free CPA exam practice questions. With WileyPLUS and InsideTrack’s offerings, students will not only learn foundational knowledge and develop the skills needed to succeed in their studies, but also prepare for long-term career success.

“InsideTrack Career Coaching is based on our experience coaching more than 1 million students for institutions across the country,” said Pete Wheelan, CEO, InsideTrack. “Thanks to our partnership with Wiley, students enrolled in the Intermediate Accounting course on the WileyPLUS platform can now access this service irrespective of which institution they attend.”

“Partnering with InsideTrack is consistent with Wiley’s mission to help students and instructors succeed in their coursework and prepare students for successful careers,” said George Hoffman, Vice President and Director of Market Solutions, Wiley. “By offering such unique services and important capabilities to students who are learning from a widely adopted standard in accounting education, we are ensuring that these students are equipped with 21st century skills necessary in a competitive and often unpredictable global economy.”

A beta version of the service is currently available at http://wiley.insidetrack.com and through Kieso’s Intermediate Accounting course on the WileyPLUS platform. The service will officially launch in August, 2015.
