‘For Dummies’ Takes Aim at 32 Million Drivers
For most of us, defensive driving courses are an unfortunate inevitability (some more than others). In fact, an estimated 32 million citations are handed out in the US annually. But a new digital service offered by the owners of the globally recognized For Dummies® brand aims to take the pain out of the experience.
Launching on May 15, Defensive Driving For Dummies™ marks Wiley Publishing LLC’s first foray into government services. Structure 44, LLC in partnership with Online Traffic School, Inc. (CP343) will offer drivers a convenient online way to dismiss tickets and lower their insurance premiums. Better still, it promises to do a little good for the community.
Ross Kennedy, President of Structure 44, LLC says the company aim is to be carbon neutral and will donate up to five percent of its profits annually to worthy causes, including Big Brothers, Big Sister of Texas and other local charities and offsets its required printing – like certificates of completion to drivers - by planting trees.
“Defensive driving is a program you’ll inevitably need,” says Kennedy, “so by using Defensive Driving For Dummies you’ll not only be getting rid of unwanted tickets, you’ll be helping to make the world a better place”.
By partnering with The Online Traffic School, the industry leader in driver education, and packaging the course in the same fun and accessible For Dummies style consumers have come to trust and love, it promises a headache-free experience. “Think of it as a less painful root canal operation,” says Lisa Warren, Founder of The On-Line Traffic School, Inc, . “After all, you have to spend a government-mandated six hours on this course – why not make it as painless as possible?”
