Volume Eight, Clinical Psychology, offers comprehensive coverage of the nature and treatment of psychological disorders. Chapters concerning the nature of psychological disorder address issues in defining what constitutes abnormality; the classification and epidemiology of psychological disorders; and the causes, manifestations, consequences, and treatment of major patterns of psychopathology. Discussion of patterns of psychopathology will employ a life cycle focus that addresses the symptoms, course, and consequences of a disorder in the young and old alike.
