Wiley Releases First Microsoft Official Academic Course Title
Delivers complete course solutions for higher education, technology markets
Hoboken, N.J., January 31, 2007 — Global publisher John Wiley & Sons, Inc. (NYSE: JWa), (NYSE: JWb), today announced the February 5th release of Microsoft Office Word 2007, the first of six official academic course texts and e-learning tools for Microsoft programs it is developing in partnership with Microsoft Learning. The titles supply professors with complete course solutions to help them prepare for and deliver first-rate courses on Microsoft technology, and help students master the critical technological skills they need for the high-tech workplace.
As Microsoft's official higher education publisher, Wiley will publish six Microsoft Official Academic Course (MOAC) textbooks with supporting on-line resources in spring 2007, including: Microsoft Office Word 2007 (Feb. 5), Microsoft Office Excel 2007 (Feb. 20), Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007 (March 15), Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 (Apr. 5), Microsoft Office 2007 (Apr. 20), and Microsoft Office Access 2007 (May 30). Wiley took over distribution of all MOAC backlist titles in June 2006 and is the exclusive academic publisher for Microsoft programs worldwide.

The new Wiley MOAC titles offer extensive resources for instructors from Wiley, Microsoft, and Certiport, Microsoft's Office testing partner, including: teacher training in technology and curriculum development, software updates, a faculty peer network, and classroom assets such as lesson plans, solutions, syllabus, student data files, figure files, test bank, and PowerPoint slides. Assessment and self-evaluation tools allow teachers and students to chart the student's progress in the course and their readiness for certification exams. All the titles are available with WileyPLUS, Wiley's online suite of teaching and learning tools.
