International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Selects Wiley-Blackwell to Publish IUBMB Life
Hoboken, N.J., January 7, 2008 Wiley-Blackwell, the scientific, technical, medical, and scholarly publishing business of John Wiley & Sons, Inc. (NYSE: JWa), (NYSE: JWb), today announced that it has been selected by the International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (IUBMB) to publish IUBMB Life. Wiley-Blackwell will publish the journal in print and online via Wiley InterScience (www.interscience.wiley.com), the company’s online publishing platform. Wiley-Blackwell began publishing IUBMB's other journal Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Education in January 2007.
IUBMB Life, edited by Angelo Azzi and William J. Whelan, is the flagship journal of the IUBMB and is dedicated to the rapid publication of the most novel and significant short articles, reviews and papers in the broadly defined fields of biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, and molecular medicine.

Under a separate agreement, Wiley-Blackwell and IUBMB will also sign and develop books with an objective of co-publishing approximately 5-10 books per year in the fields of biochemistry and molecular biology. Wiley-Blackwell will oversee the publishing services for these titles, including production, marketing, and distribution worldwide. Wiley-Blackwell and IUBMB will collaborate on acquisitions and editorial development.
