Symposium VIII Psychopharmacology in Aspects of Everyday Life
Wednesday 25th March 2009
Royal College of Physicians, Regents Park, London

A collaboration between Progress and the Psychopharmacology Special Interest Group of the Royal College of Psychiatrists

Dear Colleague

We warmly invite you to the next Latest Advances in Psychiatry Symposium on behalf of the Psychopharmacology Special Interest Group (PSIG) of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and Progress in Neurology and Psychiatry journal.

As many of you will know, this annual Symposium began in 2002: it was the idea of the late Professor Robert Kerwin who was instrumental in putting the programme together each year, on behalf of the PSIG. Following Professor Kerwin’s untimely death, the PSIG decided to continue with the meeting in the format devised by Professor Kerwin.

The PSIG intends the Symposium to be part of a structured CPD programme. So the objective of the Symposium going forward is to provide senior psychiatrists with independent, up to date, practical information that will support them in achieving their personal CPD objectives and in their everyday clinical practice. This year’s theme is Psychopharmacology in Aspects of Everyday Life which will have a broad appeal across the
profession. We hope the opportunity to hear from leading clinicians and to meet with colleagues will make for a productive and enjoyable day.

We look forward to welcoming you to what remains one of the premiere events in the UK psychiatry calendar.

Kind Regards
