About the Series Editors

Methods and Principles in Medicinal Chemistry

Established in 1993 by Raimund Mannhold, Povl Krogsgaard-Larsen and Hendrik Timmerman, authors and editors in the series have come from the pharmaceutical industry as well as from academic institutions, fostering a more active exchange between these realms.   • ManholdRaimund Mannhold is Professor for Molecular Drug Research at the University of Düsseldorf. His primary interests lie with QSAR studies and related methods. He is a founding editor of the book series and serves on the editorial boards of several journals in Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Design.

  • KubinyiHugo Kubinyi is a medicinal chemist with 35 years of experience in drug research. From 1987 till 2001 he was responsible for the Drug Design group of BASF, since 1998 also for Combinatorial Chemistry. He is Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University of Heidelberg and IUPAC Fellow.

  • Gerd Folkers is Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), and the current director of the Collegium Helveticum. He is a member of the Swiss National Science Council and of the Swiss Academy of Sciences.
