Peter Hoflich was born in Canada in 1969. He got the travel bug early and moved to Asia when he was 23 to seek his fortune. Working as a freelance writer, among other things, he has lived in Taiwan, Japan, and Singapore, where he has spent some time learning local languages and customs.
Since 2003, he has been working at The Asian Banker as a writer and analyst, contributing to all of the company’s main products and sometimes appearing with commentary on events in the financial services industry both on TV and in print.
