Dr Leon van Schaik is Dean of the Faculty of the Constructed Environment and Professor of Architecture at RMIT University Melbourne, Australia where he has promoted the local architectural culture through the university capital works program.

He is Commissioner for Australia in the 2000 Venice Architecture Biennale and he is Chair of the Asia Design Forum. Recent books include monographs compiled on Edmond+Corrigan, Ushida Findlay, Guilford Bell and Tom CV Kovac.
