Mastering UNIX Shell Scripting was written to be a learning experience for problem resolution using a Korn shell scripting techniques. In the book there a many tasks that are left for you to resolve by modify the code in the script. As a general rule, it is a good idea to always make a backup copy of the file before you do any editing. This way you will always have the original code to revert back to in case of a programming error.
