DONALD A. SHAFER is a health and safety professional and chemical process engineer with over twenty-five years' experience with industrial hazardous materials. A certified environmental health and safety trainer, Mr. Shafer is the former president of the National Environmental Training Association. He managed a HAZMAT emergency response team for twelve years and is the author of textbooks, training manuals, and programs for environmental training courses.
