Uses a novel approach, based upon the CHEM study model of experiments as guided inquiries, to teach the laboratory portion of chemistry for non-science majors. Stresses students' responsibility in safely conducting experiments and disposing of waste materials. Students will learn to examine a concept before it is taught in lecture and to independently seek patterns which lead to generalizations.
