This book is intended to help plug the gap in the present library of urological texts, and should be a useful aid to revision and preparation for the FRCS(Urol) intercollegiate examination and probably other urological examinations. Based on the assumption that the reader has a basic understanding of core urology, the text primarily covers topics that may be encountered infrequently during training, are currently considered controversial, or are likely to spring to the mind of an examiner.
The text is laid out in short paragraphs and in note form using bullets to aid rapid revision. References quoted in the text have been kept to a minimum and are either those papers considered classics in contemporary literature or papers presenting large series of clinical experience.
