ABC of Eating Disorders

This ABC charts the territory from diagnosis of different eating disorders to their management and treatment by GPs, dieticians, psychiatrists and through self help.

Supports the work of general psychiatrists and physicians, community health teams and school/college teaching staff. With a focus on primary care, this ABC also touches on medico-legal aspects of treating eating disorders and specialist referral.

Describes working with children and other specialist populations, for example, the elderly, men and minority groups, working with families. The treatment of eating disorders existing with other conditions is discussed in a chapter on comorbidity.
