Randall K. Kirschman has been in private practice since 1982 as a consultant for industry, government, and academe in the areas of microelectronic materials, assembly and packaging technology, and electronics for extreme temperatures. Prior to 1982, Dr. Kirschman managed the Processing Laboratory at the R & D Center of Eaton Corporation, Electronic Instrumentation Division. Earlier, he was on the technical staff of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory performing research on a variety of electronics materials and devices. He received the Ph.D. in physics and electrical engineering from the California Institute of Technology in 1972. He also edited Low-Temperature Electronics (IEEE Press, 1986).
