DOUGLAS W. NANGLE is associate professor of clinical psychology at the University of Maine. His research interests include children's peer relationships, social skills training interventions, and adolescent heterosocial competence. CYNTHIA A. ERDLEY is associate professor of developmental psychology at the University of Maine. Her research interests include the relationships among children's social-cognitive processes, behavior, and peer acceptance and the impact of children's friendship experiences on their interpersonal adjustment.
