This volume of the Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences covers recent and new developments in all fields of neuroendocrinology, including neuroendocrine control of reproduction, stress, growth and metabolism, and hypothalamic neuropeptidergic systems. Special attention will be paid to the comparative aspects of neuroendocrinology, from invertebrates to mammals including humans. The volume stems from the 7th International Congress of Neuroendocrinology, held by the International Neuroendocrine Federation from July 11-15th, 2010, at the Law Faculty, Rouen, France.
