Macromolecular Reaction Engineering is the new, high-quality journal focusing on academic and industrial research in the entire field of polymer reaction engineering, including polymer reaction modeling, reactor optimization and control. It provides a unique forum for discussion and dissemination of emerging technologies and scientific advancements in the area of reaction engineering applied to polymerization reactors.

MRE was added to the ISI Web of Science in November 2007. With its first ISI Immediacy Index of 0.449 (2007) it already ranks among the top 10 polymer science and chemical engineering journals by immediacy. It will receive its first ISI Impact Factor in 2009.

The journal presents strictly peer-reviewed Feature Articles/Reviews, Full Papers and Communications. It also includes Book Reviews, Essays, Macromolecular News and Conference Reports.
