New Horizons in Adult Education and Human Resource Development is the only journal that fully embraces both adult education and human resources as equal fields that complement each other. The journal publishes cutting-edge information and research on the latest thinking in the fields of adult education and human resource development (HRD) as well as diverse perspectives from scholars that stimulate cross-disciplinary dialogue and scholarship. The journal identifies and distinguishes the similarities of and differences between adult education and HRD; addresses practical and/or research problems across the spectrum of adult education and HRD; and helps readers understand the common ground and core values shared by adult education and HRD. The journal is published electronically on a quarterly basis.

Support for New Horizons in Adult Education and Human Resource Development is provided by the Adult Education and Human Resource Development graduate program in the College of Arts, Science, and Education at Florida International University, Miami. The Adult Education and Human Resource Development graduate program at Florida International University aims to prepare scholars and practitioners for successful and productive careers as educators, consultants, academics, researchers, administrators, and more. Two degrees are offered: Master of Science (M.S.) or Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Adult Education and Human Resource Development. Courses focus on preparation for creating and evaluating productive learning and workplace environments. The majority of the graduate students in the program work full-time in addition to being in school. Graduate assistantships—which cover most full-time tuition costs and provide a stipend—are available to highly qualified applicants.
