Publication of the Association for Political and Legal Anthropology, PoLAR publishes cutting-edge work in the field of political and legal anthropology, broadly defined. This innovative interdisciplinary publication features articles on such issues as nationalism, citizenship, political and legal processes, the state, civil society, colonialism, postcolonial public spheres, multiculturalism, and media politics. In addition to articles, PoLAR publishes syllabi, symposia, book reviews, methodological pieces, narratives of teaching strategies, research notes, and interviews. PoLAR is published semiannually.
