African Journal of Ecology (formerly East African Wildlife Journal) publishes original scientific research into the ecology and conservation of the animals and plants of Africa. It has a wide circulation both within and outside Africa and is the foremost research journal on the ecology of the continent. In addition to original articles, the Journal publishes comprehensive reviews on topical subjects and brief communications of preliminary results.

The African Journal of Ecology Scholarships
The African Journal of Ecology invites students pursuing or intending to pursue graduate studies in ecology to apply for a scholarship to cover tuition and other related university charges.Scholarships are open to citizens of East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda). The journal board will conduct an independent selection for each of the three African states.

Applicants must have:

  • At least an upper second class honours degree if not masters in a relevant area of study from a recognized university
  • A letter of admission to an ecological based course in an accredited University.
