British Society of Paediatric Dentistry editor of the International Journal of Paediatric Dentistry
Applications are invited for the position of BSPD editor of the International Journal of Paediatric Dentistry. The position will become vacant in June 2010. Details regarding the responsibilities of the post and person specification are available on request by contacting the BSPD secretary, Ben Cole (B.O.I.Cole@ncl.ac.uk). A letter of application, together with a curriculum vitae should be submitted electronically to the BSPD secretary. Informal enquiries about the position are welcomed by the current BSPD editor, Helen Rodd, by email or telephone (h.d.rodd@sheffield.ac.uk, 0114 2717885). The closing date for applications is 1 November 2009. A decision will be made by BSPD executive on 28 January 2010 following which all applicants will be informed of the outcome.
International Journal of Paediatric Dentistry has recieved it's first Impact Factor!
In the recently released 2008 Journal Citation Reports, International Journal of Paediatric Dentistry gained it's first Impact Factor of 1.072 and means the journal is now ranked 42nd out of the 55 international dentistry journals listed.
How to Write a Succesful Paper
In June 2007 the Editors gave a presentation on How to write a successful paper for the International Journal of Paediatric Dentistry. The goals was to inform about the publishing policy of IJPD and to give potential contributors advice on how to write high quality papers. The seminar comprised three parts, how to write a successful paper, the case report and the review process. Click here to access.
