Basic & Applied Pathology is an Open Access joint venture between pathology societies from the Asia-Pacific region. This multidisciplinary peer-reviewed journal aims to publish research in pathology with relevance to various settings such as the laboratory, hospital and clinic. The journal is broad in scope covering the fields of experimental, anatomical, clinical, molecular, forensic and legal, and toxicological pathology in humans and animals.

Areas covered include, but are not limited to:

• Cytopathology
• Forensic and legal pathology
• Oral and Maxillofacial pathology
• Toxicology
• Veterinary pathology

The journal provides occasional reviews, sometimes with free PowerPoint slides. Case reports providing new insights, book reviews, and letters are published at the discretion of the Editor-in-Chief.
