We are pleased to announce the recent launch of Environmental Microbiology Reports, a new journal published by Wiley-Blackwell in association with the Society for Applied Microbiology. Environmental Microbiology Reports is an online only sister journal to the existing Environmental Microbiology, publishing papers that document a single important finding, described within only the shortest of text and accompanied by a minimal number of tables and figures.

Key features of Environmental Microbiology Reports include:

  • Rapid publication of short reports
  • An identical subject matter to Environmental Microbiology, a leading journal in its field, devoted to the study of microbial processes in the environment, microbial communities and microbial interactions
  • An editorial team comprising the same world-leading editors as Environmental Microbiology
  • Six issues per year, with the first issue published in February 2009
  • Early View - fully reviewed and revised articles published online in advance of publication in a forthcoming issue
  • Online Open - authors can choose to make their articles freely available for all readers through the payment of an author fee
