Asian Finance Association
The Asian Finance Association (AFA) was created in 1993 to promote academic financial research (especially relating to the Asia-Pacific region) to disseminate its findings and to facilitate the exchange of information, ideas and staff among educators and between business executives and academics through conferences and publications. AFA is modelled after the American Finance Association and the European Finance Association. All members of the AFA receive International Review of Finance as part of their membership. Nippon Finance Association
The Nippon Finance Association (NFA) was founded in 1993 to promote academic research in finance, to deepen the understanding of capital markets and financial systems especially relating to Japan, and to build up networks among individuals with an interest in current financial research. NFA has close ties to the financial industry in Japan, and individual members of NFA are from exchanges, research institutions and financial corporations as well as from universities. Like AFA, NFA is modelled on the American Finance Association.
