Health Services Research is now accepting manuscripts electronically via an online submission site, ScholarOne Manuscripts. The use of an online submission and peer review site will speed the time to decisions, enable immediate distribution and allow authors to track their own manuscripts. To access this system for submission and review, go directly to http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/hsr.
Manuscripts, correspondence on editorial matters, and books for review should be addressed to the coeditors. For details on manuscript preparation please visit HSR's website at http://www.hsr.org. Here you will see a link to 'Information for authors'. HSR's Editorial office is at the University of California San Francisco, 3333 California Street, Suite 265, San Francisco, CA 94118.
We are soliciting the following types of submissions:
Research Papers presenting the results of original research that can inform efforts to improve efficiency and value. Possible areas of focus include increasing efficiency at the provider or system level (e.g., through process improvements, substitution of more cost-effective technologies, benefit plan redesign, or improved incentives or organizational arrangements), and improving the functioning of health care markets (for example through increased competition or greater price and quality transparency).
Research Methods Papers reporting methodological advances that improve the reliability and utility of research on efficiency and value for public and private policy-makers, payers, and consumers.
Evaluations or Policy Analyses using rigorous methods to evaluate the results of pilot programs, demonstrations, or other large-scale initiatives (e.g., public reporting, provider or consumer incentives, regional or national voluntary 'campaigns', etc.) designed to improve efficiency and value.
Online production tracking is now available for your article through Wiley-Blackwell's Author Services.
Author Services enables authors to track their article - once it has been accepted - through the production process to publication online and in print. Authors can check the status of their articles online and choose to receive automated e-mails at key stages of production. The author will receive an e-mail with a unique link that enables them to register and have their article automatically added to the system. Please ensure that a complete e-mail address is provided when submitting the manuscript. Visit http://authorservices.wiley.com/bauthor/ for more details on online production tracking and for a wealth of resources including FAQs and tips on article preparation, submission and more.
