TopAuthor Guidelines

Each issue of JSI is proposed and developed by one or more issue editors. Prospective issue editors should be aware of the following:

  • Each number or issue of JSI is organized around one unifying theme or topic.
  • An Issue Editor (or set of editors), who is knowledgeable on that topic, plans and develops each issue, solicits contributors, and submits a formal proposal. Later the Issue Editor(s) will edit the manuscripts and submit the entire set of final manuscripts to the Journal's Editor.
  • The JSI Editor reviews proposals, approves or disapproves final proposals, makes recommendations for the proposal's development, and at a later stage he or she reviews, approves, and edits the manuscripts.

Detailed instructions for preparing a proposal, and information about how proposals are evaluated and issues developed, can be found on the Web at http://www.spssi.org/jsi_guide.html.
