Bob Borrelli & Courtney Coleman

Bob Borrelli and Courtney Coleman are leaders in innovative ODE teaching, especially via the effective and highly useful incorporation of technology in the course. They are the guiding force behind CODEE (Consortium for ODE Experiments), the hosts of several national workshops on using technology in ODEs, and the co-founders of the CODEE newsletter (a collection of articles and experiments submitted by ODE instructors) that is published quarterly. They are top-notch research mathematicians with prior experience working in industry, and warm, funny, terrific people.

Bob and Courtney both have the gift for explaining difficult, complex ideas simply, straightforwardly, and in a context that students find familiar. They have a wealth of experience teaching calculus and Des to students of many majors.

Bob received his PhD from Berkeley; Courtney received his from Princeton. They both teach at Harvey Mudd College in Southern CA.
