eGrade "Does the Math" ... and Wiley Serves it for
Calculus Students

Wiley is now hosting eGrade Calculus Tutorials on their Web site for students who purchase selected Wiley texts. Without any instructor involvement, students can view example problems and access a variety of calculus problem sets for independent, self-paced practice. The Wiley eGrade software scores student work immediately and provides individualized feedback on student progress. Developed by John Orr and the faculty and staff at the University of Nebraska, Wiley eGrade is a browser-based program that enables instructors to automate the process of assigning, delivering, grading, and routing all kinds of homework, quizzes, and tests. Unlike other homework management programs, however, eGrade excels at quantitative problems and was the first to effectively deliver and process the wide range of question types needed in mathematics courses. Adopters of several Wiley texts in Calculus, Liberal Arts Math, College Algebra, Precalculus, Linear Algebra, and Statistics can install and use eGrade and its large bank of skill-building questions and solutions on their school server at no cost. For the first time, however, the Wiley eGrade Calculus Tutorials are available to any student who purchases a $2 eGrade Student Learning Guide bundled with one of the following texts:

• Hughes-Hallett, et al.: Calculus, 2e
• Hughes-Hallett, et al.: Calculus, 2e, Alternate Version
• Hughes-Hallett, et al.: Applied Calculus
• Anton: Calculus, 6e
• Salas/Hille/Etgen: Calculus, 8e

The Learning Guide contains the registration information a student needs to use the tutorials on the Wiley server. For more Wiley eGrade information or to view a demo, visit www.wiley.com/college/egrade.
