by Robert E. Ford

Photo and Image Credits

Most of the slides were taken in Rwanda by the author (Robert E. Ford) during the years 1983 - 1992 and he retains the copyright to them. They include photos of volcanic and tectonic features, biogeography and human / cultural landscapes.
A few satellite images are included and were taken by the SIR-C (Shuttle Imaging Radar) mission of NASA / JPL, Pasadena. The actual images were first "cleaned-up" and prepared for interpretation for the Diane Fossey Mountain Gorilla Project by the Center for Remote Sensing and Spatial Analysis of Rutgers University as part of a public-use NASA contract.
