Is the job intellectually challenging or is it just a lot of gofer work making photocopies and things like that?

Starting out you're learning curve is very steep. No matter how much auditing you've done in school, applying those skills to the industry you'll be working in can only be learned on the job. So the first year is quite an intellectual challenge just learning how to audit properly. Now the menial jobs…if a senior wants you to make photocopies, you go make photocopies and don't complain about it because you're just expected it to do that stuff. Part of the reason is you're being charged out to the client at a lot lower rate than the senior, so its much more economical to have you running the errands and making the photocopies. Once you move up you'll have people doing that stuff for you.
