What are the hours like? What about overtime during tax season, is it pretty brutal?

Overtime is just a given when you work in public accounting. In auditing, it's generally January through March. The seniors try to tell you as far as advance when you'll be working late but they'll seldom tell you how late. It's just however long it takes to get the job done.
