Are your audits pre-scheduled or do you take on projects as they become available?

Our scheduling is usually done on a year to year basis. Our fiscal year begins July 1st so the managers will line up your engagements for the next 12 months at that time. But as I've mentioned the timing can be very unpredictable because sometimes the clients aren't  ready for you or you may have a project overrun. January through March though, during the busy season, you pretty much know what you're going to be doing due to tight scheduling and everyone having 12/31 year ends. They may not always tell you where you need to be either, so you really need to be proactive about it. Call the scheduling office or your senior and find out where your supposed to be. They expect you to take the initiative and be responsible about it.
