Several typos and errors appearing in the first printing of Fundamentals of Engineering Thermodynamics (3/e) have been corrected in the current, third, printing. Listed below are the corrections remaining to be implemented:


p. 41 Three lines above Eq. (2.21) should read, ...lifts a weight in the surroundings.

p. 161 Problem 4.73, replace R134 by R12.

p. 264 Problem 6.105, plot the power in Btu/s.

p. 307 First line should read "power output from combustion products..."

p. 523 Two lines below Eq. 11.84 replace R with .

p. 546 Problem 11.3, revise 360 °F to 360 °C.

p. 622 Problem 12.97, revise to read ...Determine the mass flow rates of the dry air and makeup water, each in lb/min, as the return water temperature varies from 80 to 100 °F.

p. 847 Answer to 3.36: -31.62

p. 848 Answer to 6.23a: -0.4979
