CulinarE–Companion™ Recipe Details

CulinarE-Companion™ serves as a personal assistant for both chefs and culinary students.

HELPFUL FUNCTIONS:

  • Resize recipes by double, half, or enter your own scaling requirement
  • Create metric conversions for your recipe if they do not include metric values
  • Add your own notes to any Wiley–supplied recipe as well as your own recipes
  • Link within recipes to referenced procedures and sub recipes by simply clicking the relevant item
  • View the nutritional analysis of a recipe by clicking on the "Nutrition" tab
  • View available photos of plated dishes and techniques by clicking the "Images" tab
  • Upload your own photos and videos (file limits apply)
  • Classify recipes by cookbook, category, main ingredient, primary cooking method, cuisine, course, dietary consideration, and exclude from search
  • Edit recipes: You can create your own recipes by using the Recipe Textpad tool to copy and paste an existing recipe into the recipe database or add a new one using the recipe form. By adding your recipes into the CulinarE-Companion™ recipe database structure, the software will automatically provide the nutritional analysis of your recipes
  • Designate recipes as "sub recipes" so the ingredients are hyperlinked to the main recipe for easy access
  • Add new ingredients not already part of the CulinarE-Companion™ ingredient database
  • Import recipes from other CulinarE-Companion™ users (.zip) or from MasterCook software (.mx2). You can import multiple files at the same time
  • Add a cookbook to organize recipes for easy future reference
