Vocabulary

¡Con brío! equips students with vocabulary they will really use. About 90% of the vocabulary is presented visually through the Escenas. The remainder appears in easily identifiable charts followed by activities that require use of those particular words or expressions. Special effort has been made to select words that are standard among Spanish-speaking countries, with lexical variations presented in annotations to the instructor for presentation to the class as needed.

Each Escena is followed by multiple activities that practice the vocabulary, and a listening selection that is closely linked to the scene's vocabulary and reflects an everyday situation. The selections, available on the Companion Site and in WileyPLUS, conclude with a simple comprehension-check activity found in the textbook.
