The overall goal of the Third Edition is to create an exciting yet manageable text that gets students speaking right away.

GRAMMAR STRUCTURE:

  • Streamlined grammar (reworded; more clear; concise)

  • Added y ejemplos to explain/illustrate points presented

SCOPE AND SEQUENCE:

  • Scope and sequence has changed to meet market demands (compare sample chapter TOC to 2e)

VISUALS:

  • New art has been created to illustrate new words presented

  • 2e art is brighter and more visually attractive

  • The text presentation in 2e looked demanding-all about communication-but now there are art and realia-based activities that appeal to different learners and learning styles as well as to different instructors

  • Overall level of text is more manageable

VOCABULARY PRESENTATION:

  • Vocabulary and overall design of presentation is clear and easy to follow

ACTIVITIES:

  • New pair and class activities (2-5 people activities)

  • A variety of different types of activities have been added

  • Activities are not as demanding as in the 2e

  • New art and realia-based activities (at least 2 per chapter/up to 4) have been added in every chapter (compare to Mosaicos and other competition that had this)

  • More realia has been added-2 realia-based activities
