Data Sets are available from the publisher for each adopter of this text, including a data set on 1000 randomly selected subjects from the Framingham Heart Study. These data sets are also printed in the appendix of the textbook.

Downloading Instructions

  1. Click on the desired self-extracting (.exe) file.
  2. A "Save As" dialog box will come up.
  3. Save the file to a part of your hard drive.
  4. Once you have saved the file, locate it on your hard drive in Windows Explorer or File Manager.
  5. Run it by double-clicking on it.
  6. A dialog box will come up asking which folder you wish the files to unzip to. If you do not specify a folder, the files will be unzipped to the default folder "c:\windows\temp".
Downloading Instructions

  1. Most Macintosh Web browsers are set up to decompress .sit files automatically. If yours is not, you will need StuffIt Expander for Macintosh to decompress these files. This utility is available for free from Aladdin Systems, Inc.
  2. Once your computer is properly outfitted, download the desired file.
  3. Locate the file and drag it on top of StuffIt Expander.
