Self-Promotion Resources
Public Relations Online Resources
http://www.impulse-research.com/impulse/resource.html
An excellent set of links from Impulse Research Corporation covering P.R. services, associations, self-promotion sites, people finders, and various online publications. Links are annotated and kept up to date.
Marketing SuperSite
http://www.ntu.edu.sg/library/advrtise.htm
This resource list from the National Technology University in Singapore is almost too big. Contains links to a massive number of articles and web sites concerned with promotion, marketing and commerce on the Internet.
CyberPulse
http://www.cyberpulse.com/
Bob and Varda Novick know their stuff when it comes to online marketing. Excellent resource area covering mailing lists, newsgroups, advertising, promotion, etc. Don't let the plain graphics fool you.
Promote-It!
http://www.itools.com/promote-it/
Nice self-promotion site that includes the popular "Submit-It!" registration service. You'll also find links to "cool site of the day" sites and a few other promotion resources.
A1 WWW Promotion Sites
http://www.a1co.com/
Excellent resource for locating hundreds of directories, indexes and catalogs that will list your site for free. Also has a handy tool for locating large webzine sites. Also provides paid marketing services.
The Sevloid Guide to Web Publicity
http://www.sev.com.au/webzone/webpubli.htm
John Cook's primer on web publicity is not bad for the beginner: it's easy to leaf through and learn something. Too many ads and annoying animated gifs, however.
Niche Resource Directory
http://www.tricky.com/lfm/niches.htm
A helpful tool for niche marketing, from Paul "The Soaring" Siegel. Good hotlists of experts, associations, niche directories, supersites. A free site and free subscription to a fine newsletter.
Channel 7
http://www.channelseven.com/
Channel 7 is a terrific resource for online advertising professionals. The site has white papers, discussion threads, and other info, but what I like best are the case histories of online ad campaigns and interviews with online marketers.
BBL Internet Media
http://bblmedia.com/
Franklin Banker's site for promoting, advertising, and marketing online. Resources include free registration service, a bookstore aimed at Internet marketers, and a paid news release service. One of the best online marketing supersites I've seen.
