GUIDE TO DEVELOPING INTELLIGENT
WEB SITES WITH JAVASCRIPT
Nigel Ford
This Web site enables you to
run the programs introduced in the book. To copy all or parts of the code
for a program, simply click on the appropriate link to run the program,
then select the appropriate SAVE AS option in your browser's menu. Alternatively,
select the VIEW SOURCE or equivalent command from your browser. The code
is then displayed, and can be copied and pasted into your own word processor
file. In this way, you can use and modify the code for your own applications.
This Web site is designed to be
used in conjunction with the book. So if you don't have the book, I guess
some of the programs will appear rather cryptic - and it may be difficult
to work out what they do, and what information to give them to illustrate
their capabilities. I've given some suggestions for input to the programs
where they ask for it.
The code is available for programs
introduced in the following chapters. Please note: the programs are
designed for JavaScript 1.1 or above, requiring Netscape Navigator version
3 or above.
I hope that you find some of this
code useful. Good luck with your explorations of JavaScript!
