CORBA/OTS/JTS 

• Inprise Application Server
  The OTS/JTS example shown in the book have been developed with the Inprise Application Server, which includes ORBs (Visibroker for Java and Visibroker for C++), and implementation of OTS and JTS.
• Other CORBA technology providers
  CORBA ORBs with various languages bindings are available from a variety of providers. OTS implementations are to the authors' knowledge only available from Inprise Corporation, Iona Technology and BEA Systems. While Inprise's ITS is a pure CORBA implementation of OTS, Iona and BEA layer OTS APIs over legacy transaction monitors.

EJB 

• Inprise EJB server
  The EJB examples shown in the book were developed with an early access release of the Inprise EJB server.
• Other EJB servers
  There are currently a number of EJB servers available, incuding the ones from BEA/WebLogic and GemStone. We expect that by the end of 1999 tens of EJB servers will compete in the market.
