- CORBA's OTS is a fairly stable specification. There is the usual
OMG Revision Task Force in place which maintains the specification.
Details can be found at the OMG's web site.
- EJB is an evolving specification. According to Sun's roadmap, EJB
1.1 will be released in early summer 1999 and the following major release
will published in early 2000.
- JTS 1.0 is yet to be finalized. However, there is little doubt that
it it will be the Java mapping of CORBA's OTS.
- CORBA Components are OMG's multi-language approach to server side
components aligned with EJB.This is work in progress. A final specification
is expected by fall 1999.
- EJB Design Workshop
- Andreas organized this workshop in February 1999 to discuss and analyze
design issues for distributed applications in the context of EJB.
