Vaughn Bullard is a Senior Principal Software Engineer with BTG Inc. In this position he acts as the Java/XML/UML Evangelist and Instructor for the Defense and Intelligence Systems Division for BTG Inc. He teaches and develops curricula for software development technologies including XML, Java, and UML for both Learning Tree International and George Mason University. Vaughn Bullard has over 13 years of solid software engineering experience developing everything from complex FORTRAN applications to more recently XML-based online stock trading platforms. He has significant experience in Java and SGML-based technologies. He specializes in Human Machine Interface (HMI) development. He also is chairman of Bullard Acquisitions and Holdings Inc. Kevin T. Smith is a Senior Technologist and Software Engineer at BTG, Inc., where he specializes in Java and XML solutions for various projects. Over the past ten years, he has focused his academic and professional research on object-oriented architectures, real-time collaboration, adaptable user interfaces, and information security. Kevin holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the College of William and Mary, a Master's degree in Computer Science from George Mason University, and he continues to pursue graduate coursework and research in information security. In the past, he has contributed to several papers and published works. In particular, he was a contributing author to Java Application Frameworks (John Wiley and Sons, 1999), and was a technical session speaker at JavaOne 1999. |

In addition, he is the author of C++ Pointers and Dynamic Memory Management
